Stop motion Video

 This week Room 11 had to learn how to create a stop motion video. Then they had to create their own one with a buddy. This video is created by Lachlan and Caleb. Back to school

We had a great first week back at school. We played games, did Reading, Science, Art and Google meets with our friends at home. We took advantage of the beautiful weather.

Diwali Celebration

 

In Room 11 we celebrated Diwali in different ways. Here are some photos of how we integrated Diwali celebrations with Maths. In Maths we are focusing on geometry. Our task was to find line of symmetry, rotation, reflection or transformation in the rangoli patterns.

Room 11 had a great start to week 1 term 4. We celebrated Niuean and Cook island week and are learning about symmetry. We integrated Inquiry and Maths together and made some patterns. Hope you like them. 

Marble Run Challenge

For our Disconnect-Ed day one of our task was to create a Marblr run maize Challenge. They had to use whatever they could find and be creative. Look at the amazing creations they have come up with.

On Friday Ms Rose had set an activity for Room 11 where they had to create their own board game. They had to be creative and use whatever they had at home. They had to write rules for the game as well.

Germination

Learning Germination

On Tuesday we started learning about germination. To help us learn germination we planted small mung beans. First we were given three paper towels, and three mung beans. Then slightly wet the paper towels.  Then we squeezed the water out of them.After that we put them in plastic cups. We dropped the mung beans in and then left them near the window for sunlight and to drink the water from the paper towels.

We are monitoring them each day in class and watering them every day so they can grow.

A visitor in Room 11

After our break, Charmy and Devanshi came in with a visitor.

We looked at it and discussed about it in groups. We wrote a descriptive story, describing our visitor.

We then shared our writing with our classmates.
